Taking Your Hygiene Department To The Next Level

Is your hygiene department producing at least 33% of its total production in periodontal services? Are the majority of our recall patients returning every six months? Most hygienists perform way below the industry standard. Why? Because they may lack disease assessment or performance skills. This is usually because they don't know how to communicate to the patient they have been treating every 6 months that they now have gum disease. This presentation will help you to establish a protocol for your hygienist to implement strategies, formulas, and techniques for developing an ultra successful hygiene department. More than 70% of adults that come into your practice have periodontal disease. The dental team will learn how to properly identify the periodontal case type and the preferred treatment protocol, when to refer to a specialist, and at what intervals the patient needs to return for maintenance.

You will learn:

  • How to achieve 33% of hygiene production in periodontal services
  • How to properly identify the periodontal case type & treatment protocol
  • How to get patients to accept treatment
  • How to monitor the patient's progress
  • How to utilize intra-pocket medicaments and systemic drugs in treatment protocol
  • How to break the six month recall habit.

Who should attend: Dentists, Dental Assistants, Dental Hygienists. This lecture can be a half or full day presentation.
